I was so busy solving puzzles the entire hour that I didn't get a chance to really concentrate much on the story, though I wish I had, as it sounded interesting. Also, as you are solving the room you get lot of tantalizing hints at a much larger, more involved background story. The people there working the game were really nice and friendly, and you could tell that they were enthusiastic about making the game a unique and fun experience. I'll admit, we needed a few hints to make it through - the hints were good though, and we never got stuck long enough to get frustrated. The lighting and sound effects were also great, and were a step above anything I have seen in an escape the room game. There were a ton of puzzles to do, and many could be worked on in parallel, so everyone stayed busy the entire time - it definitely helps to have 6 or more people to be solving things the entire time to get it done in the hour. We did the Secrets of Nibiru room, and it was a lot of fun! The room was detailed and felt like a real study, and the props and key pieces were very interesting and unique. Try and enjoy! Also, this location is a straight shot (30-40 min) on the 77 bus from downtown and reasonably near a MAX station, so don't let a lack of car deter you from visiting. Would have been fun to play the room "in character," as suggested on the site. My only regret is that I didn't come in costume. I will definitely be back to try another room sometime. We screamed from surprise and with pride more than a few times. Nice mix of physical puzzles and brain stumpers throughout, so each of us actually found something to contribute along the way. It's really apparent that the creators put a lot of thought into constructing every last piece of this experience, and we had a great time. I LOVED the atmosphere and the detail of this room- very Raiders of the Last Ark/Explorers' Club. We had four players, and had to get a few hints since we ran up against the clock near the end- I imagine it's a little easier with more brains and hands to help. Check out their website for more rooms and thrilling challenges.Played the Nibiru room with some friends, and I wish we'd brought more people along! It was fun, different, and more of a mental challenge than we expected.
